Patuxent Materials, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Service Technician. This position is responsible for the proper repair and maintenance of company vehicles.

Must have a valid driver’s license and one (1) year of experience as a Mechanic, or an equivalent combination of experience and education (Trade or Vocational school).

• Maintain and repair dump trucks, roll-off trucks, pick-ups, and miscellaneous equipment.
• Troubleshoot failures and complete repairs.
• Perform required inspections and tests.
• Manage parts inventory in conjunction with mechanical supervisor to ensure the proper parts and supplies are available when needed.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Understand and maintain all safety protocols and requirements.
• Keep the shop area and all tools, shop vehicles, and equipment neat.
• Clean work area at the end of every work shift.
• Maintain security of all company equipment and tools.
• Drive service vehicles to plant sites, road calls, etc.

• Prior experience repairing and maintaining a truck fleet, especially diesel and gas engines.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and walk, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.
• Capacity to provide and follow directions.

CDL preferred, but not required.

DOT medical card.
