HTB Safeguarding Assistant
Role
Purpose:
The key purpose of this role is to provide high quality administrative support to the Group Safeguarding Lead and the wider HTB Group.
- Manage the Dashboard (an app to measure and report compliance) for the 6 sites
- Manage safer recruitment across the entities
- Assist with safeguarding training
- Assist with the management of concerns raised
- Key part of the safeguarding working group (and note taker)
- Assist with Focus preparations and act as part of the safeguarding team at the event
- Assist with administrative support: maintain accurate and confidential safeguarding records in line with data protection requirements, assist in preparing reports, documentation, and compliance audits
- Support the Safeguarding Lead in managing safeguarding concerns and referrals, liaising with internal teams and external agencies as directed
- Ensure safeguarding policies are up to date and communicated effectively, assist with staff training coordination and safeguarding awareness campaigns
- Track safeguarding incidents and produce regular reports for management, help monitor compliance with statutory and organizational safeguarding requirements
- Works well with all fellow team members to deliver an excellent service to the whole organisation
- Is able to adopt a positive attitude to change, even when it is not fully understood, and works hard to find creative solutions

- Ability to deal sensitively and professionally with survivors of abuse and other vulnerable groups
- Knowledge of safeguarding within the Church of England and safer recruitment processes desirable; ability to collect and collate information and data and handle this in line with GDPR requirements
- Experience of office and administrative work
- Experience of meeting planning
- Experience of minute taking, including meetings regarding complex matters
- Experience of dealing with enquiries from members of the public
- Evidence of dealing with confidential and sensitive material
