This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong dental front-office experience who is confident managing schedules, insurance, patient accounts, treatment coordination, and patient relationships and is ready to step into a more senior role without taking on the full responsibilities of an Office Manager.

Preferred Dental of Cromwell is an established, modern practice featuring 9 operatories, digital charting, Dentrix, and onsite parking. Our team provides comprehensive preventive, restorative, cosmetic, implant, endodontic, and periodontal care. As our Lead Front Desk Administrator, you'll be an important connection between our patients, providers, clinical team, and business office.
What You’ll Do- Help oversee daily front-office operations and maintain an organized, professional patient experience
- Manage provider schedules, confirmations, recalls, cancellations, and patient flow to support productive days
- Greet patients, answer phones, and serve as a trusted resource for patient questions and concerns
- Prepare and present treatment plans, financial options, and patient payment arrangements
- Verify insurance information, submit claims and predeterminations, and follow up on outstanding claims
- Manage patient accounts, payments, accounts receivable, and collection follow-up
- Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPAA compliance
- Support front-office systems, supplies, correspondence, and daily administrative needs
- Collaborate with providers and team members to resolve issues and keep the practice running smoothly
- 2+ years of dental front-office experience strongly preferred
- Experience with dental scheduling, insurance, billing, collections, and patient accounts
- Comfortable presenting treatment plans and discussing financial arrangements with patients
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and front-office workflows
- Dentrix or comparable dental software experience preferred
- Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills
- Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Confident handling multiple priorities in a busy dental practice
