HTB Operations Lead – Alpha International

Overview

The Operations Lead plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of HTB ministry projects, services, and events. Working closely with HTB Ministry teams, this position translates objectives into clear, actionable project and operational plans.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Support:
    Support HTB Operations Managers by guiding Coordinators in day‑to‑day administrative, logistical, and operational tasks.
  • Project Management:
    Lead coordinators in delivering key Ministry services, events and projects such as Sunday Services, Connect Groups, HTB Focus, HTB Alpha, HTB Creative, Social Transformation, Kids, Youth and other allocated areas.
  • Logistics & Planning:
    Plan and execute logistical and operational elements for services, projects and events as allocated by Operations Managers.
  • Workflow Development:
    Create workflows and collaborative processes to streamline operational support to HTB Ministries.
  • Systems Maintenance:
    Create and maintain accurate departmental systems including project trackers, schedules, day plans and event databases.
  • Budget Oversight:
    Track expenditure, obtain quotes and keep activities within the budget agreed by Operations Managers.
  • Venue & Hospitality:
    Oversee venue bookings, hospitality, catering, technical equipment and other logistical requirements.
  • Communication:
    Facilitate clear and timely communication with clergy, ministries and Operations team to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  • Team Development:
    Line‑manage operational coordinators, conduct appraisals, goal‑setting and provide learning opportunities.
  • Reporting:
    Report directly to HTB Operations Manager with regular updates on project progress.
Qualifications
  • Experience:

    2+ years operationally leading projects and events; 1+ year line management.
  • Skills:

    Excellent communication, strong organisational skills, proactive problem solving.
  • Church Commitment:
    Passion for Sunday Services, church events and ministry engagement.
  • One Team Mentality:
    Willingness to work evenings and weekends on events such as Alpha, Easter, Christmas.
  • Desirable:
    Active church member, proficiency in Church Suite, Microsoft Office, numerical accuracy, compliance knowledge (safeguarding, GDPR).
