Position Summary

The Shift Supervisor Trainee is an entry‑level, short‑term role that prepares a candidate for future supervisory responsibilities such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee completes basic operations and management training and learns key aspects of CVS/pharmacy culture, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service.

Essential Functions
  • Manage and work effectively with store management and crews.
  • Supervise the store’s crew by assigning tasks, directing work, and following up on activities.
  • Communicate information between management and crews.
  • Assist customers with inquiries, problems, and complaints.
  • Promote the CVS customer service culture (greeting, offering help, thanking).
  • Handle all customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience for all CVS customers.
  • Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
  • Deductive reasoning, analytical skills, and computer literacy.
  • Advanced communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts and overtime as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in retail.
Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred (not required).
