As a Production Electrician on 2nd Shift, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing/production facility. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical components operate safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting continuous production processes. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and production staff to troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and implement upgrades to electrical systems.
You will also be responsible for adhering to safety regulations and company policies, ensuring compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in manufacturing/production facility
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform corrective actions
- Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documents
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams on system upgrades
- Document maintenance activities and repair work
- Respond to emergency breakdowns
- Test electrical systems and components for functionality
- Assist in the installation of new machinery and automation systems
- Appropriately apply Federal, State and Local governmental codes
- Gather data, identify and document requirements for facilities projects
- Maintain, document and verify site utility locations, asset installations, property boundaries and site characteristics
- Distribute information consistent with company policies and recognized industry standards
Education
- Electrician background/ (trade school) etc.
Formal Qualifications
- MUST BE A U.S Citizen
- Proven experience as an electrician in a production or industrial setting
- Valid electrician's license or certification
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Experience with PLCs and automation systems is a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work shifts and participate in on‑call rotations
