River View Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, River View Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, River View Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

ResponsibilitiesPhysical Therapist (PT)- On-Call Status
Location: Hospital / outpatientPosition Status: PRN
Schedule: Scheduled as needed.
Pay Range: $44.40 - $62.17 (based on experience) including a weekend and holiday rotation.
The PT will work as a member of our physical therapy team to evaluate and treat patients in the outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute settings. The PT is expected to effectively and professionally interacting with patients, family members, and other health care team members while maintaining River View Health standards of behavior.

- Evaluate and interpret patient assessments to determine necessity for skilled services to develop physical therapy plans of care
- Develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to achieve established therapy goals
- Identify patient’s needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on safety and mobility
- Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
- Perform data collection and obtain accurate information
- Effectively delegate tasks and supervise physical therapy assistants as needed
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
Required:
- Current clinicians:
- Current State of Minnesota license as a Physical Therapist/ PT or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist / PT.
- Current American Heart BLS certification. If not held currently, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months from the date of hire.
- Current students:
- Clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Requiring passing score on NPTE within 3 months of hire.
- Current American Heart BLS certification. If not held currently, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months from the date of hire.
