River View Health operates a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, River View Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, River View Home Care, and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospital's service area.

Responsibilities
River View Health is looking to hire an On-Call Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). The SLP will work as a member of our speech therapy team to perform evaluations and treatments for patients primarily in the outpatient setting, with opportunities for inpatient, sub-acute, and Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS) care. The SLP is expected to effectively and professionally interact with patients, family members, and other healthcare team members while maintaining River View Health standards of behavior.
Salary range is $37.53- $52.56 and starting wage is dependent on experience.
Primary responsibilities:
Complete evaluations and patient assessments for speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders to determine necessity for skilled services.Develop and implement plans of care that focus on measurable outcomes to achieve established goals.Identify patient’s needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences.Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on techniques to support the patient's goals.Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies.Perform data collection and obtain accurate information.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.Assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory.Adhere to ethical and legal standards.Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge.Qualifications
Current State of Minnesota license in Speech-Language Pathology or proactively in the process of applying for current state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology; license must be in good standing.Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology is required.Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) or in clinical fellowship is required.Current American Heart BLS certification is required. If not, current training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months from the date of hire or employment will be terminated.#J-18808-Ljbffr
