Tax Associate

Join the H&R Block team as a Tax Associate
. This role focuses on preparing accurate tax returns and delivering client service through face‑to‑face and virtual tools.

The Tax Associate completes tax interview tools, prepares tax returns, supports client engagement, and contributes to office goals.

• Conduct client tax interviews face to face and with virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email)
• Prepare complete and accurate federal tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25‑35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course1
• Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma / equivalent or higher
