General Mechanic

Starting pay: $36.64 per hour. Shift: 12‑hour rotating, including weekends, holidays, nights, and overtime as needed.

• Perform precision maintenance including laser alignments, pumps, motors, fans, and more.
• Perform roll changes on paper machines and converting lines.
• Work 12‑hour shifts.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, wearing required PPE.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Qualified candidates meet at least one of the following criteria:
• Five (5) or more years of full‑time experience as a general mechanic in the pulp and paper industry or related sector.
• Technical degree or equivalent and at least three (3) years of experience as a general mechanic in the pulp and paper industry.
• Successful completion of a general mechanic apprenticeship program with at least two (2) years of experience in the pulp and paper industry.

• Experience in hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Five or more years of experience as a millwright.
• Experience performing welding on equipment.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
