Position: CLIN NURSE I

CLIN NURSE I (Registered Nurse, Emergency Room)

Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift

Hospital Overview
  • Emergency Department – 24 beds
  • Critical Care Unit (ICU) – 12 beds
  • Labor & Delivery – 12 suites
  • Med/Surg – 37 beds
  • Surgery – 9 operating room suites
  • Telemetry – 37 beds

Fully accredited by the Joint Commission, the hospital provides all private patient rooms and a range of specialized services such as outpatient imaging, same‑day surgery, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, sleep disorder, breast and cancer centers, and a hyperbaric medicine and wound center.

Position Summary

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit and coordinates care planning with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities
  • Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital or nursing home care.
  • Assesses learning needs of patient and family.
  • Develops and initiates plan of care involving patient and family.
  • Recommends interventions.
  • Evaluates plan of care.
  • Resolves problems regarding moderately complex issues without oversight.
  • Demonstrates willingness to precept employees/students as directed; reviews clinical performance with unit leader or clinical instructor.
  • Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills appropriate to age‑specific needs.
  • Supervises LPNs, nursing assistants, HUCs, techs and sitters.
  • Follows policies, procedures and safety standards; completes required education assignments annually; works toward goals and objectives; participates in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience
  • None specified; must meet standards for required license and/or certification.
  • One (1) year of professional nursing experience.
Licensure Requirement

Valid Tennessee RN license and CPR certification.
