Working within a CQC Outstanding rated hospital, The Horder Centre is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join their fantastic Pre-Assessment Unit team. DSU
Shifts:
Start times are typically between 07:00 and 07:30, with finish times ranging from 15:00 to 21:00. However, late finishes (after 17:00) are rare. Most shifts end around 17:00. DSU is closed on Sundays and open most Saturdays, with an expectation of working approximately one Saturday shift per month.
Pre-Assessment
Shifts:
These usually start at 08:30 and finish around 16:30. Occasionally, shifts may extend later, but it’s uncommon to finish after 17:30.
- Deliver high quality nursing care by assessment of patient need, implementation of care and evaluation of progress/outcomes, in line with national and corporate standards.
- Work co-operatively with medical staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes for each patient episode.
- Carry out pre-admission screening adhering to THC policies and protocols.
- Deliver safe, effective, and personalised care to patients in the Day Service Unit.
- Support patients through pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow.
