Healthcare Nursing, Patient Care Technician
Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to patients during their surgical journey? As an Outstanding-rated organisation (CQC), Horder Healthcare is seeking a motivated and empathetic Healthcare Assistant to join our Theatre team at The Horder Centre.
Responsibilities- Supporting patients with dignity, compassion and respect throughout their peri-operative pathway
- Assisting with preparation, transfers and safe patient handling within theatres
- Taking part in routine clinical tasks such as basic observations, documentation, and equipment preparation
- Supporting the theatre team during procedures in a circulating role
- Ensuring high standards of infection prevention and control
- Escorting patients and assisting with administrative duties as required
- Reporting changes in patient condition to Registered Nurses or ODPs
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to safe, effective teamwork
- Compassionate, patient-focused and committed to delivering excellent care
- Approachable, professional and able to build strong relationships with patients and colleagues
- Confident communicating within a clinical environment
- Prior UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant (hospital or clinical setting preferred)
- Proactive, eager to learn and committed to ongoing development
- Care Certificate and/or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
