Position:Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
We are seeking an experienced assistant director of nursing to join our leadership team and support excellence in patient care, staff development, and program quality.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties- Provide leadership and supervision for nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and Mental Health Technicians.
- Oversee nursing assessments, nursing care plans, patient education, and clinical documentation.
- Contribute to quality improvement, infection control, and compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered care.
- Provide direct patient care as needed.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality psychiatric nursing care consistent with ANA standards.
- Manage and monitor medication administration, storage, and physician orders.
- Support treatment programs, interdisciplinary care coordination, and treatment team meetings.
- Assist with staffing, scheduling, and budget compliance to meet patient needs.
- Contribute to quality improvement, infection control, risk management, and compliance initiatives.
- Act as liaison between program staff, medical staff, and ancillary services.
- Participate in performance evaluations, staff development, and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required), Bachelor’s preferred.
- 1+ years of nursing leadership experience, including at least 1 year in psychiatric/mental health care.
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- BLS certification required.
