• Promote and restore patient health by delivering individualized care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
• Establish a compassionate environment acknowledging and attending to physiological and psychological needs.
• Closely monitor status of patients under care; observe patients, record significant conditions and reactions, and notify the healthcare team as needed.
• Educate patients on procedures and treatments to gain cooperation, understanding and alleviate apprehension.
• Willingness to care for Med-Surg patients when there is no critical care patient available.

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program
• Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State of Indiana
• Current Healthcare BLS and ACLS certifications (ACLS can be acquired within department guidelines)
• Two (2) or more years of recent experience on telemetry unit
• Completed basic EKG class

• Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN)
• Two (2) or more years of recent experience with surgical critical care patients
• Two (2) or more years with Med-Surg patients
• Current CCRN Certification
• Current IV Certification
