Overview

Kennel Worker role at Community Veterinary Partners. This is a part-time Kennel Technician position with morning hours (MWF 7:30am-12:30pm) and occasional weekends, located at Swift Creek Animal Hospital.

$13.00/hr - $14.00/hr

We are seeking a Part Time Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and wellness of our animal guests, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and providing excellent customer service to their owners. The primary goal is to keep our animal guests comfortable and happy during their stay.

• Previous experience in animal husbandry and handling
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays (we do have a boarding facility so we still need kennel techs to walk and feed boarders even when we are closed for holidays)

• Experience with health and wellness of animals

• Feeding and watering animals according to their specific dietary needs
• Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and walking areas
• Assisting with animal bathing
• Assisting Veterinary Assistants and DVMs with restraint for sample collection and exams
• Cleaning and packing surgical instruments, towels, and gowns

As a Kennel Technician, you will utilize your animal husbandry and animal handling skills on a daily basis. You will also use your sanitization skills to maintain a clean and safe environment for our animal guests. Your skills will be crucial in ensuring the health and happiness of our animal guests.
