The Opportunity

We are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive nursery school in Croydon seeking a Level 3 qualified Childcare, SEN Teaching Assistant to support two pupils with additional needs on an ongoing basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate early years or SEN TA looking for stability, progression, and the chance to transition into a permanent Teaching Assistant role in a specialist provision later in the year.

About the Role

Long-term nursery support role starting ASAP, continuing from January
Providing 1:1 and small-group SEN support within a nursery setting
Supporting pupils with a range of additional and developmental needs
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and wider support team
Opportunity to move into a permanent TA role in the school's new SEN provision, supporting KS1 and KS2 from Easter 2026

The Ideal Candidate

Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Supporting Teaching & Learning
Experience supporting children with SEN (Nursery / EYFS experience essential)
Calm, nurturing, and patient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
