SEMH Teaching Assistant– The Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Foster pupils’ independence, self-esteem, and resilience.
- Deliver intervention sessions to key students.
- Monitor progress, celebrate individual breakthroughs, and keep pupil wellbeing at the core of your teaching.
- Promote the physical, educational, and moral development of students.
- Have obtained a degree from a top UK University
- Have the ability to support learning in 1:1 and small-group settings, including literacy and numeracy work
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- A clear pathway for a SEMH Teaching Assistant to develop their skills and progress professionally
- The opportunity to work alongside SEN professionals and educational psychologists
