September 2026 / ASAP A specialist SEN school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated PMLD Teacher to join their team, supporting pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties and complex individual needs. This is an opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment , while helping pupils make meaningful progress academically, socially and personally.
The Role Plan and deliver engaging, highly differentiated lessons for pupils with PMLD and complex needs . Adapt the curriculum to individual abilities, communication styles and developmental needs. Support pupils with communication, sensory development, independence and engagement . Work closely with SENCOs, therapists, support staff and families to meet individual EHCP outcomes. Use creative, sensory and practical approaches to make learning accessible.
Monitor progress and celebrate small but meaningful steps in development. Maintain a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment. The School Offers A specialist SEN environment with a strong focus on individualised learning and pupil development . Supportive leadership and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. We're Looking For Qualified Teacher Status ( QTS ) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching within PMLD, SLD, complex needs or specialist SEN is desirable. A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach. Strong understanding of differentiation and personalised learning. Someone who can build positive relationships with pupils and maintain high expectations. A genuine passion for helping pupils with complex needs develop communication, independence and confidence .
