Job PurposeAs a graduate engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers on and off-site to develop skills and independence while working on the design and analysis of engineering projects. You will be involved in the technical aspects of engineering projects, supporting the preparation of designs, calculations, and reports. This role will provide opportunities for involvement and skill development in client liaison and project management, encompassing both time and budget management.
Roles & Responsibilities- Assist in the development of designs, calculations, and reports.
- Support the preparation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Assist in the preparation of fee/tender proposals.
- Attend site visits and surveys (under supervision) as required.
- Learn to apply relevant design codes and standards (e.g., British Standards, Eurocodes).
- Engage in training and professional development activities.
- Support senior engineers in project planning, execution, and documentation.
- Work to project timelines, budgets, and communicate with Project Managers.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ICE or IStruct
E-accredited course.
A 2:1 (or equivalent) degree classification or above.
Demonstrate commitment to undertake continuous professional development towards Incorporated or Chartered Engineering status.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (in English). Ability to work effectively with the Microsoft suite of programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Knowledge in the use of relevant technical analysis, design software, and AutoCAD.
Strong attention to detail and ability to comply with Quality Assurance Management Systems.
Minimum of 2 years internship or project experience in bridge and structural engineering.

Due to the nature of this role, site work, overnight or weekend work may be required.
