Overviewof the role
As a P6 Project Planner, you will develop, maintain and monitor integrated project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6. You will support the successful delivery of rail and other major infrastructure projects by providing accurate planning, progress measurement, forecasting and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
Working closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams, contractors and clients, you will develop work breakdown structures, activities, milestones, logic links and baselines; integrate inputs from multiple disciplines and suppliers; and ensure programmes meet contractual, governance and planning requirements. You will gather and validate progress information, monitor performance against baseline, identify critical-path issues, risks and opportunities, and recommend recovery or mitigation actions.
You will produce look-ahead programmes, schedule variance analysis, forecasts, dashboards and KPI reports, and assess the programme impact of changes and variations. Where applicable, you will support earned value management, schedule risk assessment and alignment between schedule, cost and risk information. You will also facilitate planning and coordination meetings, present schedule updates and recovery plans, and contribute to project reviews and client audits.
You will join a collaborative project management and controls team supporting multidisciplinary rail projects, from renewal schemes to complex design-and-build programmes and rolling stock initiatives. The role offers the opportunity to broaden your project-controls experience, contribute to planning standards and best practice, and develop your career on major infrastructure programmes in the UK and internationally.
