About the role

Prestige Corporate Events is a fast-growing hospitality and events business. As we move our finance operation onto Zoho Books and tighten the link between our finance and CRM systems, we are looking for a Junior Finance Executive to sit at the heart of day-to-day finance: keeping the ledgers clean, the bank and card accounts reconciled, payments prepared, and giving the leadership team accurate, timely reporting on margin, cashflow and forecast performance.

This is a hands‑on role with real breadth. You will own routine processes end to end, support a live systems migration, and grow into higher‑value analysis such as cashflow forecasting and credit control. It suits someone early in their finance career who is well organised, accurate, and keen to develop.

Key responsibilities

Bookkeeping and ledgers
  • Post and upload sales and purchase invoices in Zoho Books, maintaining accurate purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Log invoices and receipts to the agreed format and maintain orderly invoice files (digital or hard copy).
  • Reconcile ledgers periodically against supplier statements and against Zoho CRM records.
Bank, cards and reconciliation
  • Manage the bank feed; check that postings are correctly classified and reconciled.
  • Weekly reconciliation of the cashbook and company credit cards, with uploads to the accounting software.
  • Ensure spend complies with company expenses and spend policy.
  • Maintain purchase invoice files to support the bank and card accounts.
Payments and payables
  • Run payables reports in Zoho and reconcile them against the Operations Director's payable reports in Zoho CRM.
  • Manage payments due and feed the schedule to the Operations Director.
  • Prepare payments with supporting information and documentation for the Finance Director and Operations Director to authorise.
Reporting and analysis
  • Margin reporting: reconcile margin across Zoho CRM and Zoho Books.
  • Sales forecasting: forecast versus actual reporting on tickets, revenue and margin across the event programme.
  • Ticket liability: track and map unordered ticket liability.
Cashflow
  • Input and maintain cashflow tracking.
  • Cashflow analysis: prior-year trends, customer payment plan levels, supplier payment plan detail, and VAT predictions.
  • Cashflow risk reporting and early notification of issues.
Credit control
  • Assist with collections and chase overdue accounts.
  • Escalate to formal debt proceedings where required.
Compliance and systems
  • Support the Zoho Books migration: help upload 2025 records into the new system and reconcile debtors, creditors and control accounts.
  • Assist with control account and journal reconciliation.
Ad hoc
  • Support the finance and leadership teams with ad hoc tasks as needed.
Person specification
  • Some finance, bookkeeping or accounts experience (in role or through study or placement).
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical, accurate approach to reconciliations.
  • Confident with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Well organised, able to manage recurring deadlines and prioritise.
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working with colleagues across finance and sales.
  • Discreet and trustworthy when handling sensitive financial data.
  • Experience with Zoho Books, Zoho CRM, or similar accounting and CRM platforms.
  • Understanding of VAT, purchase and sales ledgers, and bank reconciliation.
  • Studying towards, or interested in studying, AAT or an equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Exposure to the events, hospitality or ticketing sector.
The package
  • £26,000 to £32,000 salary depending on experience.
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Regular company socials and team events.
  • The opportunity to attend many of the world's best live sporting and entertainment events as part of the role.
  • A broad role with genuine ownership and a clear runway to grow into forecasting, analysis and credit control, as we shape our finance function during a period of growth and system modernisation.
