Senior DevOps Engineer; AWSKubernetes

Work set up: Hybrid (Remote with travel to Croydon as required)
Clearance required: BPSS SC Transfer (approximately 7 weeks)

Our client in the Information Technology and Services industry is looking for a Senior Dev Ops Engineer (AWS/Kubernetes) to support the delivery automation and management of cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes-based services within a public sector environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing infrastructure CI/CD pipelines cloud resources deployments and platform reliability while contributing to the continuous improvement of cloud-native services.

Strong experience with AWS Kubernetes Terraform and Dev Ops tooling is essential.

What you will do:

• Design deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads.
• Deploy and support applications using Docker and Helm.
• Administer AWS cloud resources including RDS Lambda and Amazon S3.
• Build maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Migrate CI/CD pipelines between platforms including Jenkins to alternative CI/CD solutions.
• Perform infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform.
• Deploy applications to test and production environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes platform issues.
• Manage infrastructure-related operational activities.
• Configure and maintain Vault secrets management.
• Administer security certificates across platform environments.
• Monitor platform performance using Kibana Grafana and Prometheus.
• Support Linux-based infrastructure and systems.
• Manage source code repositories using Bitbucket.
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve platform stability automation and deployment efficiency.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational standards.

Qualifications :

• Demonstrated experience as a Senior Dev Ops Engineer or in a similar cloud engineering role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with Docker and Helm.
• Proven expertise administering Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments.
• Experience managing AWS services including Amazon RDS AWS Lambda and Amazon S3.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience building maintaining and migrating CI/CD pipelines including Jenkins.
• Experience deploying applications across test and production environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools including Kibana Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience administering Linux environments.
• Experience using Bitbucket for source code management.
• Experience managing Vault secrets and security certificates.
• Strong troubleshooting analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within Agile and Dev Ops delivery environments.
• UK Passport Holder.
• Eligible to obtain BPSS clearance and transfer SC clearance (approximately seven-week onboarding process).
