Infrastructure Service Engineer Level 2

We're looking for a skilled and proactive Infrastructure Service Engineer to help maintain and improve the critical infrastructure that supports GTR's operations across our depots and outstations.

You'll carry out planned maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and infrastructure improvements, ensuring our facilities, plant, and equipment remain safe, reliable, and operational.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across depot infrastructure.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Complete inspections, repairs, modifications, and safety checks.
• Supervise contractors when required.
• Produce accurate reports and maintenance records.
• Support the Team Leader and deputise when needed.
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and housekeeping.

• Strong fault-finding skills on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience working with plant equipment, machinery, and building services.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Knowledge of AC/DC systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, water, and sewage systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong IT skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Flexibility to work across multiple depot locations.

• Contract

  Your contract and formal offer letter will be issued once a start date has been agreed
• Induction

  Your first week of employment will be at our East Croydon location where you'll undertake your induction and receive your IT equipment before you meet your team and get stuck into your new role.
