Oval Deene Recruitment are representing a well-established bespoke joinery manufacturer is seeking an experienced Automated Spray Paint Line Operator to manage and operate a high-quality automated spray finishing line. This role is ideal for a skilled professional with strong knowledge of spray finishes for bespoke joinery, cabinetry, and high-end wood products.
You will be responsible for ensuring consistent, premium-quality finishes while maintaining efficiency, safety, and equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate and oversee an automated spray paint line within a bespoke joinery environment
* Prepare, spray, and finish high-end joinery components to exacting standards
* Set up, adjust, and programme spray equipment to suit different products, materials, and finishes
* Monitor paint quality, coverage, colour consistency, and curing processes
* Carry out routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of spray line equipment
* Work with a range of finishes including lacquers, paints, primers, and specialist coatings
* Ensure all work meets quality control standards and project specifications
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised spray booth and production area
* Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations
* Collaborate with production, quality, and finishing teams to meet delivery schedules
Requirements /
Skills:
* Proven experience operating automated spray paint lines
* Strong background in bespoke joinery, cabinetry, or high-end wood manufacturing
* In-depth knowledge of spray finishing techniques and materials
* Ability to adjust and optimise spray processes for different components
* High attention to detail and commitment to producing premium-quality finishes
* Experience with fault-finding and basic mechanical or process troubleshooting
* Understanding of health and safety requirements in a spray environment
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Desirable
* Experience working with high-end or luxury joinery products
* Knowledge of paint systems and automated finishing technology
* Leadership or mentoring experience within a finishing department
