Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturer based in Shefford, is seeking a motivated and hands-on individual to join their busy production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a stable career in manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:
Manufacture and assemble high-quality components and products to company standards. Safely operate a variety of workshop machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Assist with metal fabrication, woodworking, and surface preparation (sanding and finishing). Support wood spraying and powder coating operations and perform basic MIG welding where authorised. Inspect finished items for quality, then pack and prepare them for shipping. Maintain a clean, organised workspace, follow all Health & Safety rules, and collaborate to hit daily production targets.
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience working in a Warehouse Environment. Good manual skills and the physical fitness required for manual. A reliable, punctual approach with a genuine eagerness to learn new skills. High work standards and a strong commitment to quality. The ability to work well independently as well as part of a production team.
Desirable Experience (Not Essential):
Woodworking, carpentry, or furniture assembly. Metal fabrication or basic MIG welding. Industrial finishing, wood spraying, or powder coating. Safe use of hand tools and power tools. Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
