We are staffed by a mix of General Practitioners and Advanced Nurse Practitioners, who together provide a wide range of skills, abilities, and experience to deliver urgent, on‑the‑day care for patients with minor illness or injury.

Main Responsibilities

As a valued member of the Operose Health team, your key duties will include:

  • Provide care for presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
  • Demonstrate safe, clinical decision‑making and expert care, including assessment and diagnosis skills for patients within the general practice.
  • Work collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of the patients, supporting delivery of policy and procedures and providing nurse leadership as required.
Ideal Candidate

What we look for in new colleagues:

  • The post holder is an experienced nurse who, acting within their professional boundaries, will provide care for the presenting patient including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
  • Demonstrate safe, clinical decision‑making and expert care, including assessment and diagnostic skills, for patients with undifferentiated care needs.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision‑making process.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Lead and the GP Hub team to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of policy and procedures, and providing nurse leadership as required. In order to work at this level, NMC requirement for advanced practice must be met.
  • Post holder will be an Independent and Supplementary Prescriber.
Package Description
