Customer Service Advisor

THE EMPLOYER IS: CAMLIN CREDIT UNIONThe Customer Service Advisor is the first point of contact for members, providing a high quality, friendly, and accurate service. The role supports members with account enquiries, transactions, and general credit union services while promoting the values of community, integrity, and member-first service.

The role involves assisting members with transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Basic computer skills and cash handling experience are desirable.

• Provide a welcome to all members in person, by phone.
• Handle day to day enquiries relating to accounts, balances, withdrawals, lodgements, and general credit union products.
• Support members in updating personal details, nominations, and direct debits.
• Process member transactions accurately, including lodgements, withdrawals, transfers, and loan repayments.
• Balance cash drawer daily and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and security procedures.
• Follow all policies and procedures including AML, GDPR, and safeguarding of member information.
• Maintain accurate records and always uphold confidentiality.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Good numeracy skills and confidence with cash handling.
• Ability to multi task and prioritise accordingly.
• Willingness to learn, ability to work as part of a small, collaborative team.
• Experience in customer service, administration, banking, or similar environment.
• IT skills and willingness to learn credit union systems.
