R&D Scientist

This is a permanent, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin.

The R&D scientist leads a small team in cell culture, protein expression, reagent and assay development in CoE Recombinant Protein Expression and Purification. He/she will support the implementation of the NPD roadmap and the development of recombinant proteins for the different value streams in collaboration with strategic customers.

• Express recombinant proteins in different expression systems
• Purify proteins by chromatographic methods, IMAC, SEC
• Perform protein chemical and molecular biological methods such as SDS‑PAGE, Western blot, PCR, plasmid purification, cloning
• Use of immunological assays to check product quality such as ELISA or LFA
• Comply with the requirements of the BBI quality system
• Co‑create and translate product requirements into clearly defined and scheduled development plans
• Work closely with the Product Management team to develop a go‑to‑market strategy based on customer requirements
