Youth Enrichment Instructor
Join the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago as a Youth Enrichment Instructor. You will assist in creating child‑centered environments that promote learning, character development, positive relationships, and healthy living at one of our elementary school locations.
Responsibilities- Provide a safe, supportive, interactive, and enriching program experience for all participants.
- Ensure the safety and security of all program participants.
- 18 years old with relevant experience or coursework in childcare, education, or recreation.
- Strong communicator, enthusiastic leader, and passionate about youth development and equity.
- Meet responsibilities and qualifications required as outlined in the job description. The YMCA will provide reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities.
- Report any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members, or guests to your supervisor.
- Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children.
- Report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.
- Complete all child abuse prevention training as required.
- Competitive pay: $17.90–$18.45/hr.
