This role supports two locations and requires regular weekly schedule of two days at our SEG Branch in a Box location and three days in Crystal Lake branch. Travel between locations is required as part of the regular weekly schedule to support business and team needs

The salary range for this position is $20.48 to $30.73, with an anticipated hiring range of $20.48 to $25.60 based on qualifications and experience. The broader range reflects the full pay grade for the position, including future growth opportunities within the role

The Relationship Banker is primarily responsible for supporting GLCU’s relationship with assigned SEGs by staffing Branch in a Box locations within partner organizations. The role serves as an on-site financial resource, creating convenient access to membership, account opening, financial guidance, transactions, and GLCU products and services. When not assigned to a Branch in a Box location, the Relationship Banker works from a designated GLCU branch and supports outbound outreach, new-member acquisition, account opening, relationship development, and teller transactions.

The position is expected to provide outstanding service to internal and external members in alignment with GLCU's Vision, Member Promise, and Standards of Greatness.

• Staff assigned Branch in a Box locations within SEGs and represent GLCU in a professional, welcoming, and knowledgeable manner.
• Build relationships with SEG employees, leaders, and on-site contacts to increase awareness of GLCU membership, products, services, and financial wellness resources.
• Supports Business Development team with on-site outreach and engagement activities, including informational visits, membership drives, financial wellness events, presentations, and other approved activities.
• Engages prospective members, explains membership eligibility and benefits, and supports new-member acquisition in accordance with GLCU procedures.
• Opens and maintains memberships, deposit accounts, and related services accurately and in accordance with policy, documentation, identification, and compliance requirements.
• Meets with members and prospects to understand their financial needs and goals, recommends relevant products and services, and makes appropriate referrals to lending, mortgage, insurance, business, investment, and other GLCU resources.
• Performs member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, check cashing, money orders, cashier's checks, and other authorized transactions.
• Ensures all GLCU processes and procedures are followed with all new account openings and transactions and maintains appropriate control and security of cash, negotiable instruments, equipment, records, confidential information, and other GLCU assets at both Branch in a Box and branch locations.
• Follows all opening, closing, balancing, cash-handling, dual-control, security, and emergency procedures applicable to the assigned work location.
