Shift differential for qualifying shifts (PM shift 15% of base pay, up to $4.50 per hour / Night shift 20% of base pay, up to $6.00/hour)

Job Duties- Maintains active status in the modalities in which they practice.
- Assists the department coordinator by providing clinical leadership, completes projects, advanced level clinical duties and regular assignments as requested.
- Is competent in all exams performed within the assigned modalities.
- Corroborates patient clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist.
- Prepares the patient for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
- Selects and operates imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- ARRT Radiography registration required
- ARRT Computed Tomography registration preferred (or must be obtained within one year of hire)
- IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois
- WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin
- Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days of hire

- Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilizes patient as necessary.
- Practices aseptic technique as necessary,
- Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; starts and maintains intravenous access.
- Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
- Provides patient education.
- Provides input for supply and equipment decisions, maintains control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
- Provides practical instruction for students and partners.
- Observes universal protocol, standard precautions and appropriate patient identifiers.
- Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.
- Other duties, tasks as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program
- Two to four years of experience as a technologist as a Radiographer is required. Experience in a hospital environment preferred
- ARRT registered in Radiography required; the CT credential is required within a year of hire

- BLS/CPR required within 90 days of hire
Skills And Abilities
- Experience in working with radiologic technologists, radiologists and support staff in a multimodality department
- Proficiency in mentoring employees and providing corrective action appropriately
- Experience in obtaining departmental accreditation
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and effective manner
- Demonstrated ability to foster excellent teamwork in a radiology department
- Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently
- Read/comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Basic PC skills
- Manage stress appropriately
- Make decisions under pressure and handle multiple priorities
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Occupational Exposure:
