Entry Salary Range: $68,488.59–$82,186.31 annually with an annual award opportunity based on individual and credit union performance.

The Role
Accountable for the oversight of the day‑to‑day operations of the commercial loan operations team. This position will work closely with the Commercial Operations Manager to ensure lending steps flow effectively and efficiently through the entire lending process and to develop a high performing team. The role aids efforts to meet established department goals, member satisfaction, and minimize operational losses, while supporting the strategic goals of the credit union.
MajorDuties And Responsibilities
- Manage direct reports to maximize productivity, coach, counsel, train, and assure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational values. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for promotion, disciplinary action, and termination as appropriate.
- Oversee loan operations: gathering documents, clearing conditions for closing, preparing closing documentation for booking, funding, maintenance, corrections, adjustments, tracking titles and insurance.
- Work with internal and external auditors on audits, prepare for examinations, and follow through on audit replies or action items.
- Partner with Advia's Training Department to develop new training materials and keep them current.
- Ensure adequate processes, procedures, and workflows meet business and regulatory requirements; identify, develop and recommend revisions or new programs to improve efficiency and reduce losses through effective internal controls.
- Assist team members to collaborate, solve problems, promote process improvement, and drive progress and financial value for members.
- Provide operational solutions to business challenges and serve as operational subject matter expert.
- Manage the department’s daily operations to ensure procedures align with credit union expectations; work with third‑party vendors to keep programs running smoothly and maximize member satisfaction.
- Actively support departmental goals with minimal supervision; update the Commercial Operations Manager on major projects, employee issues, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Experience: Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses: Two‑year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school equivalent to approximately 64 credit hours.

Skills:
Significant level of trust, credibility, and diplomacy required for sensitive, highly confidential interactions with customers, reports, and outside vendors. Involves motivating, influencing, educating, and advising others.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations affecting commercial loans.
- Knowledge of commercial loan policies, procedures, products, and services.
- Legal knowledge of commercial loan documentation and retention (preferred but not required).
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel.
Primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations, operate routine office equipment, routinely use a computer 6–8 hours per day, and work extended hours as required.
Working ConditionsWork indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
Mental and/or Emotional RequirementsMust perform job functions with supervision; read and follow various instructions; speak clearly and deliver information logically. Perform basic accurate calculations, handle multiple priorities, manage confidential matters with discretion, and handle diverse personalities with high customer service standards.
