- Awaiting EDAP (Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics) Designation (scheduled for this fall)

- 11 Inpatient Rooms + 2 ICU Rooms
- 4 Operating Rooms (ORs)
- Hospitalists On-Site 24/7 – Continuous inpatient care presence
- Emergency Physicians On-Site 24/7
- Leadership Support:
Nurse leaders on-site Monday–Friday during business hours. RN House Coordinators covering nights, weekends, and leadership gaps.

ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
- Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Documents care provided according to standards.
- Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
- Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
- Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
- Training/precepting new partners in collaboration with unit educator
- Blood Glucose Monitoring (BGM) with lab personnel
- Bladder scanning procedure reviewed
- Bladder scanner training complete (check off sheet for competency)
- Attaching patient to remote telemetry or bedside cardiac monitor
- Managing and reporting collection devices:
- Colostomy, ileostomy or other fecal management systems: care and output measures
- Indwelling catheters: care and output measures
- Nasogastric tubes to suction
- Surgical drains under direction of supervising RN
- Competent in completing vital signs:
Manual process for blood pressure and required reporting of abnormal values to supervising RN - Discontinue invasive devices under the direction of the supervising RN:
- Indwelling (Foley) catheters
- Nasogastric tubes
- Peripherally inserted intravenous catheters
- Similar devices as appropriate
Completion of a CNA program.
Certification and LicensureCurrent CNA certificate in applicable state.
Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
