Meat Cutter and Wrapper

Overview

Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr

This role is with Sam's Club and involves work in the meat department, focusing on quality, packaging, and display of meat items, and delivering strong customer service to members.

• Be a Team Member:
  Collaborates with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicates with team members; and supports flexible coverage across areas as needed.
• Be an Expert:
  Demonstrates knowledge of floor operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and the preparation of meat products to established standards; maintains product quality.
• Be a Techie:
  Uses digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; uses hand-held devices to support production, training, and product quality; adapts to new tools and encourages others to use them.
• Be an Owner:
  Maintains operational excellence and area standards; ensures quality and date control for meat products; secures fragile and high-shrink merchandise; eliminates waste; assists members with purchasing decisions; ensures packaging, labeling, and storage comply with policies.
• Be a Talent Ambassador:
  Advocates for the department and club by delivering high-quality service and products; models energy and commitment for the work.
• Complies with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity, using related action plans and Open Door Policy in daily operations.
• Completes work assignments by prioritizing tasks, using policies and data, coordinating with managers and coworkers, communicating progress, and adapting to feedback.
