Northern Continental Heating & Cooling, Inc., a family-owned and operated company with over 40 years of service in the Crystal Lake area, is looking for a skilled and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician. In this full-time role, you’ll travel to residential and light commercial customer sites, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, cooling, and specialty systems including boilers and pool heaters. • Travel to customer homes and job sites to service HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and warranty service
• Suggest system improvements or modifications to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction
• Maintain detailed and legible service reports and communicate clearly with customers
• Ensure all work meets code and company standards
• Participate in rotating on-call shifts for emergency service work
• Represent the company with professionalism, honesty, and integrity at all times

• Minimum of 3 years HVAC experience preferred; entry-level considered at lower rate
• High School diploma or GED required
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Clean driving record and background check
• Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
  
  Strong communication and customer service skills
• Legible handwriting and basic computer skills
• Neat appearance, punctual, dependable, and trustworthy
• Ability to work with patience and compassion, especially with elderly clients
• Willingness to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays when on-call

• Competitive hourly base pay: $30.00 – $42.00/hour

Monday – Friday

Overtime available as needed

Based in McHenry and Lake County, IL

Travel required to customer locations throughout the surrounding region
