A growing residential HVAC company in Crystal Lake, IL is looking for a Selling Technician. You'll run the service call, diagnose the issue, and sell the job. All of your leads come from your own service calls, with no cold calling. Top performers here earn $80K to $250K+ per year.
What you'll do- Run 3 to 4 residential service calls a day: diagnostics, maintenance, repairs and return trips
- Explain system condition, efficiency, safety and long-term costs to homeowners
- Present repair and replacement options, including financing when it fits
- Hand off smoothly to the install team
- Log calls and notes in Service Titan, and make client follow-up calls
- Work mostly solo (about 90%), with support from the team on Microsoft Teams
- Take part in ongoing paid technical and sales training
- 2+ years of residential HVAC service experience
- A track record of bringing in $750K+ in annual revenue
- EPA certification (Type II or Universal)
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Honest and ethical, with no selling unnecessary repairs
- Punctual, reliable, coachable and detail-oriented
- Your own hand tools
- A valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and home parking that fits a Transit or Sprinter van
- Comfortable working in attics, basements and outdoors
- About 5 years of experience
- NATE certification
- Competitive and motivated by metrics (the team checks a daily leader board)
- Open to mentoring others
- $25 to $35 per hour, plus commission
- Uncapped commission on equipment sales
- SPIFFs on repairs sold
- Performance bonuses and internal bonus opportunities
