Job Title: Packaging Development Specialist
Location: Golden Valley, Minnesota
Hours/

Monday–Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Type: Temp-to-Hire
The Packaging Development Specialist supports a wide range of packaging projects, including new product launches, line extensions, and packaging improvements for multiple business units. This role manages packaging specifications, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure efficient, compliant, and high‑quality packaging solutions. The position requires close coordination with internal teams and vendors to execute project objectives and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and vendors to deliver packaging projects, including line extensions, in/out programs, size variety, cost savings, and Canadian adaptation work.
- Develop, maintain, and validate detailed packaging specifications ensuring manufacturability and regulatory compliance.
- Manage project data and documentation using internal systems such as RDSS, Optiva, TOPS, Connected
ITQer, and Eclips. - Build and leverage internal and external networks to support project execution.
- Adapt to changing project priorities and timelines, proactively addressing risks and removing roadblocks.
- Influence stakeholders and drive results across multiple functions without formal authority.
- High school diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a 2‑year degree with 3+ years of packaging development or product launch experience.
- Experience developing, reviewing, and managing packaging specifications.
- Packaging experience across multiple product platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of packaging specifications and systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and approach new challenges with curiosity.
- 5–7 years of related experience in packaging material coordination for product launches.
- Experience across multiple businesses or platforms.
