Where You Will Work:

Pre and Post op care for outpatient surgical patients

Day Surgery area services a variety of patient types. Surgical specialties include General surgery, Orthopedic, Urology, and Pain Management.

Also see Interventional Radiology, Pain Management Clinic, and Infusion clinic patients.

We’re Looking For:

1-2 Years of ICU - critical care nursing experience

What You’ll Do:
  • Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly.
  • Educate patients and families
    , adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge.
  • Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum.
  • Lead and delegate effectively
    , fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance.
Maintain professional growth

through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities

Schedule Details/Additional Information:
  • M‑F (8 hour shifts) No extended shifts at this time
  • Flexible start time based on OR case start and rotation of early and late start
  • Start time varies typically between .
  • Holiday rotation for infusion clinic only
