Graduate Automation Engineer Barnsley S72 | £35,000 - £40,000 Are you ready to start your engineering career at the forefront of robotics, automation and manufacturing innovation? We're looking for a Graduate Automation Engineer to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business that is investing heavily in advanced technology, automation and continuous improvement. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience delivering real-world automation projects that improve efficiency, productivity and quality across a busy production environment.

Working alongside experienced engineers and operational teams, you'll have the chance to develop your skills in robotics, PLC-controlled systems, process optimisation and project delivery while building a long-term career in modern manufacturing. What You'll Be Doing Identifying and delivering automation and process improvement projects. Supporting the installation, commissioning and integration of robotic systems. Developing and optimising robot programs and automated processes.

Assisting with manufacturing improvement and capital investment projects. Using data analysis and Lean methodologies to drive efficiencies. Working closely with production, engineering and management teams to implement new technologies. What We're Looking For Degree in Robotics & Automation, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline. Knowledge of robotics, automation systems and manufacturing processes. Understanding of APQP, PFMEA, Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control (SPC).

Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques. Experience using CAD software, ideally AutoCAD. Strong analytical, fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
