Key Responsibilities
* Undertake direct work with children to understand their lived experience, wishes and feelings, and support identified outcomes.
* Deliver targeted family support interventions in line with Child in Need planning.
* Support parents and carers to develop effective parenting skills, routines, boundaries and safety planning.
* Complete agreed pieces of work delegated by Social Workers, including welfare visits, transport, practical support and task-centred interventions.
* Monitor and record progress against plans, identifying any emerging risks or concerns.
* Contribute to Child in Need meetings, Core Groups, reviews and other multi-agency planning processes as required.
* Maintain accurate, timely and child-focused case recordings and reports.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working as a family support worker
* NVQ 4 or equivalent qualification in a related discipline
