Our client is a large, fast-paced manufacturing environment with a high-volume logistics operation. The organization focuses on operational performance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement, working closely across logistics, production, maintenance, planning, and quality teams.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Logistics Continuous Improvement Specialist to drive structured, data‑led improvements across the logistics organization. This person will identify operational bottlenecks, translate them into clear improvement initiatives, and lead implementation on the shop floor—ensuring solutions are sustainable and repeatable.
Responsibilities- Translate operational issues into data-driven improvement actions and ensure fast implementation on the shop floor
- Use structured improvement routines and ways of working (e.g., daily direction setting, problem solving, work process improvement) to drive results
- Ensure improvements are systematic and repeatable, not one-off fixes
- Coach and support logistics teams in continuous improvement and problem‑solving techniques
- Analyze and optimize logistics flows including inbound, storage, picking, and line feeding
- Reduce handling, waiting times, and inefficiencies across warehouse processes
- Lead the logistics side of Management of Change for improvement initiatives, including projects with investment scopes up to approximately €100k
- Initiate and lead multidisciplinary improvement projects, aligning stakeholders from the shop floor to leadership
- Represent operations during changes and support start‑up activities where needed
- Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Quality, Safety, Planning, and external partners to deliver improvements
- 3–5 years of experience in production, logistics, or supply chain within a complex organization
- Proven experience leading continuous improvement and/or change projects
- Strong analytical skills and ability to turn insights into practical shop‑floor actions
- Comfortable working with data tools such as Power BI and Excel (SAP is a plus)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels
- Fluent in Dutch and English
- Proactive, structured, and results‑driven mindset
