Our Company Speciality Rx AL Holdings owns VCM Pharmacy Operations, a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing exceptional pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. VCM Pharmacy Operations is committed to delivering personalized care and high-quality pharmacy services.
NOTICE: VCM Pharmacy Operations is seeking Pharmacy Technicians located in the surrounding areas of Cullman, AL.
Responsibilities- Able to work under the direction of a supervisor
- Experience working Controlled Drugs Narcotics) room a plus
- Maintains floor stock, restocking, removal of expired medications
- Rotate stock of medication areas to assure quality controls
- Prepack for floor bulk prescribed medications
- Package fill and ship medications
- Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies
- Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy
- Enter new orders for staff pharmacist review
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate customer information
- Generate labels for dispensing
- Answer phones and respond to order inquiries
- Clarify orders as needed
- Triage incoming faxes
- Complete any other task assigned by the supervisor
- Registered & Certified AL Pharmacy Technician required
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Previous data entry experience preferred
- Must be reliable and execute multiple tasks assigned
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Ability to physically perform light lifting
- Knowledge of brand name and generic medications
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently
- Knowledge of SIG-Codes
- Quick typing skills
- Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks system, PLUS
Shift: 2:30pm-11:00pm with rotating weekends.
