Machinist​/Tool Maker

Overview

Machinist/Tool Maker role at Acme Manufacturing Company Inc. on-site at our facility in Cullman, Alabama. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday – Friday.

This position will involve fabricating tooling and parts for older machinery, reverse engineering, and problem solving. Starting pay is $20 per hour, depending on experience, and the role is eligible for our full benefits package.

• Develop and create process improvements for new and existing machinery.
• Assist with tool and die operations.
• Troubleshoot mechanical problems and sharpen/maintain punch press dies.
• Work in a warehouse environment and be on your feet during most shifts (standing/walking).

• Excellent mechanical aptitude with familiarity in traditional metal manufacturing concepts.
• Mechanical process experience including metal stamping.
• Basic knowledge of chemical and physical properties of metals (steel, brass, aluminum).
• Basic knowledge of lubricants used in metal forming and punching.
• Tool and Die experience is a plus.

Location:
