• Coordinate plan of care, discharge and transfers as appropriate to meet the age specific needs of the patient.
• To plan and coordinate heath care education for patient, family and other health care providers as needed.
• Perform comprehensive physician examinations and assessments.
• Plan and initiate a therapeutic program within established protocols and institutional policies.
• Interpret and analyze patient data and results of laboratory and diagnositc test.
• Provide instructions and guidance regarding health care and health care promotion to patients, families and significant others.
• Demonstrates and encourages team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
• Upholds and promotes patient safety and quality.

• Master's degree in Nursing with a Neonatal NP certification required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner(NNP) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.

• Required 3 years of experience working with pediatric neonatal patients.

• NNP with BLS and NRP certifications required.
