Nurse Practitioner Pt - Neonatal

Overview

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner position requiring Master s degree in Nursing with Neonatal NP certification, and current APN/NNP licensure in Alabama. Full-time role with responsibilities focused on neonatal patient care and collaboration with physicians.

• Coordinate plan of care, discharge, and specialty referrals as appropriate to meet the age-specific needs of the patient.
• Plan and coordinate healthcare education for patients, patients  family, and other health care providers as needed.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments.
• Interpret, analyze, and evaluate patient s medical record and social data.
• Perform and/or assist the physician with procedures per collaborative agreement.
• Coordinate and participate in performance improvement activities.

• Education:
  
  Master s degree in Nursing with a Neonatal NP certification required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement. Currently certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• Experience:
  
  Required 3 years of experience working with pediatric neonatal patients.
• Skills/Abilities:
  Excellent interpersonal skills. NNP with NRP certification required.
