FTE (This will be paid pro‑rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)
Working Pattern:
This is a fixed term position, working part‑time or full‑time, 39 weeks per year until 19th June 2027 (Monday to Friday)
Hemyock Primary School are seeking an inspirational Early Years/KS1 Teacher to join our dedicated school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about delivering high‑quality teaching and helping every child achieve their full potential.
About the RoleAs a Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers’ Standards.
- Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs
- Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target‑setting
- Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes
- Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school
- Contributing to performance management, training, and whole‑school initiatives
- Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children’s learning.
Essential attributes- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning
- Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
- Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community
- Experience leading a curriculum area
- Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development
- Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages
- Ability to organise extra‑curricular activities
- Opportunities to influence practice and contribute to whole‑school improvement
- A commitment to staff development and CPD
- A positive, inclusive school ethos and welcoming community
