Willand school requires a general teaching assistant for year 2 in the first instance
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- An aptitude for working with children.
- A commitment to setting high standards of pupil behaviour.
- An ability to motivate children through positive relationships.
- Effective communication with children and colleagues.
- The capacity to work in a team and learn from others.
- Initiative, enthusiasm, resilience and commitment.
- Commitment and willingness for further professional development.
- Ability to lead some interventions such as ELSA, speech and language support.
- Knowledge and experience of Read Write Inc phonics.
- Previous Teaching assistant experience would be advantageous.
