We are looking for reliable and proactive Production Operatives to join the Winding Department at NDE Solutions. This hands‑on role involves working within a small production cell focused on developing new products and supporting pre-production activities. You will be part of a cross‑functional team trialling processes, materials and tools to help bring new products to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce small‑batch prototypes and pre‑production quantities.
  • Operate a range of machinery, including winding, soldering, taping, varnishing and moulding equipment.
  • Conduct visual inspections and in‑process checks to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Identify and resolve basic technical or process issues.
  • Maintain safe working practices and report hazards or incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to support project progress.
  • Continuously develop your skills and contribute to process improvements.
Skills & Experience
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with production processes such as winding, soldering, gluing, taping and using heat guns.
  • Ability to read customer drawings and operate various winding machines and jigs.
  • A practical, hands‑on approach and flexibility in day‑to‑day tasks.
  • At least one year of winding and soldering experience.
  • First aid, manual handling or health and safety training.

Pay and progression
  • £13.76 per hour for multi‑skilled operatives.
  • £12.78 per hour for entry‑level candidates, with the potential for an increase following successful training.
