About the Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will:

• Operate a rigid vehicle equipped with a tail lift to deliver bakery products on behalf of Allied Bakeries, Hovis and Braces Bakery from the Cullompton depot to a range of retail outlets, wholesalers, and convenience stores across the South West.
• Provide a high level of customer service at delivery points, engaging directly with customers to ensure delivery requirements are met and expectations are managed effectively.
• Demonstrate flexibility to accommodate early start times, safely operate tail-lift equipment, and carry out manual handling of bread deliveries in line with safe working practices.
• Ensure all goods are loaded, secured, and transported correctly to prevent movement or damage, using straps, load restraint bars, and other securing equipment as required.
• Conduct comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using the company-issued mobile device, ensuring vehicle safety, compliance, and reliability at all times.
